CARDBOARD ORIGAMI BIKE

Israeli inventor Izhar Gafni likes a challenge, so when three different engineers told him it was impossible to make a working bike out of cardboard, he rose to the challenge. Gafni discovered that by using the principles of origami, he could make a strong, weight-bearing bike capable of carrying a rider up to 485 lbs!  The bike is durable and weatherproof. Best of all, it is economical and eco-friendly.  The materials only cost $9.  Pair that with labor, and the bike is projected to sell for $60-$90.  Giora Kariv is a friend of Gafni’s and made a documentary about the bike.  He predicts:

You must have seen crazy bicycle riders who perform unbelievable stunts and rough driving over streets or anywhere else,its all about balancing and skills that come from years of experience. But how about riding a bicycle which can fit in your pocket and whose paddle is 5 times smaller than your feet?you might be thinking of the kind of cycle that one might witness at the circus with a parrot doing acrobats on, but here it is actually being ridden by a russian adult in full cycling gear. The small cycle is complete in all respects. It possesses two minute wheels, pedals, handlebar etc, but in size it is not larger than a man's shoe.
