Israeli inventor Izhar Gafni likes a challenge, so when three different engineers told him it was impossible to make a working bike out of cardboard, he rose to the challenge. Gafni discovered that by using the principles of origami, he could make a strong, weight-bearing bike capable of carrying a rider up to 485 lbs!  The bike is durable and weatherproof. Best of all, it is economical and eco-friendly.  The materials only cost $9.  Pair that with labor, and the bike is projected to sell for $60-$90.  Giora Kariv is a friend of Gafni’s and made a documentary about the bike.  He predicts:

NASA Bombed Moon By A 2 Tonne Centaur Rocket- A $79 Million Science Experiment To Discover Water On Moon.

Image
In its quest to discover water on the moon, on 9th October 2009, at 7:31 a.m. ET, NASA bombed the moon by a 2.2 tonne empty rocket using LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite). The rocket crashed in the moon's surface at a speed of 5600 miles per hour. The target was a 60-mile-wide crater called Cabeus. The LCROSS crashed on the surface four minutes later. It was hyped that the blast would create a large cloud of gas, dust and vaporized water ice going up to 6 miles high and which will be visible from the Earth. Although, millions who were watching the event live on the internet were left disappointed. There was barely a change observed in the crater where the missile hit. NASA claim to have gained a lot of new knowledge through the $79 million experiment. The principal investigator, Anthony Colaprete quoted- "I'm not going to say anything about water or no water, but we got the data that we need" to...

The human brain can only maintain 150 stable social relationship.

Image
It seems we have a mental limit when it comes to relationships. in 1992,British an anthropologist by the name of Robin Dunbar theorised that a person can have a maximum number of 150 ‘stable relationships’ at any one time in their life.Anyone outside this circle becomes an acquaintance rather than a friend- people you remember, but who aren’t currently active in your life. Oxford University Professor Robin Dunbar has conducted a study of social groupings throughout the centuries, from neolithic villages to modern office environments. His findings, based on his theory 'Dunbar's number', developed in the 1990s, asserts that size of the part of the brain used for conscious thought and language, the neocortex, limits us to managing 150 friends, no matter how sociable we are. The professor of Evolutionary Anthropology has applied this theory to see if the 'Facebook effect' has stretched the size of social groupings. He compared the online 'traffi...
